an Old Burned-Down House

Photobucket

On Monday, I happened to drive past this house that I have driven by a bazillion times before. This was the first time I’d noticed its scorched roof and dilapidated structure. I quickly called on my friends to come explore the building with me later that night. Luckily, there weren’t any NO TRESPASSING signs, so I felt it was ok to climb in through the already open window.

This place was incredible! I loved the paneled walls with beautiful, intricate designs. I felt like a kid at Christmas. Everything was exciting and new, and I couldn’t hold in my enthusiasm. I was grateful I brought my camera with me, because otherwise I wouldn’t have noticed the brilliant colors that were dull shades of gray and black through the light of our cell phones.

Since this place is still accessible, I want to do a photo shoot here next week. I wanted to open it up to all of you (who are within driving distance) to let me know if you’re interested in modeling for me. You have to be willing to go inside a creepy, dirty, burned-down house and let me put you anywhere. I’d love you to have a few different outfits — one being something hip & trendy, and the other possibly a fancy dress.

If you can model for me, send me an email at stacy@threewinksstudio.com or leave a comment. I will give you 2 free 8×10s (1 for each outfit). This will seriously be amazing!

What a cool find! I called my sister and told her to get in touch with you. I don’t know where exactly you are but she is in Provo and has been doing some modeling. I can’t wait to see the pictures you take there!

Hi Stacy! That house looks absolutely amazing, almost cooler because it burned. It makes me think of Great Expectations. Email me where it is so I can go there some day! Also, even though I’m not in Salt Lake, I have a great dress there that would be perfect for this shoot if you want to use it. My Mom made it from a historical costume pattern. It’s got fancy material and puffed sleeves . . . email me if you want to use it. :)

What about me in my wedding dress? I’m the tiniest bit hesitant to get it dirty but who cares. The house is amazing!

That bathroom is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen! I have the craziest vision of a super creepy shot in that tub. I can’t wait to see what you do with this! And I know when you say “model” you’re meaning someone that is actually skinny ;) but if you’re wanting to go the Dove Real Women route, then sign me right up! I’ll bring crazy crazy outfits and a super hot dress. I still have my wedding dress that I’ve been wanting to trash as well if you’d like.

Oh man!! You went, AND survived!!! Don’t tell my dad that you went into a completely structurally unsafe burned out house!! :) THESE are great. Those b/w ones are totally creepy, in a cool way of course. It looks like it was beautiful house.
